Mobile Window Tints, The Pros and Cons

Mobile window tints, it is a convenient service that can save you time. Having someone come to you to tint your cars windows seems like a great solution. However, there are some downsides to consider before choosing this option.

One of the biggest concerns with mobile window tinting is the potential for dirt and debris to get under the film. This can create bubbles and other imperfections in the tint, which can make it difficult to see out of your windows.

Additionally, cold weather can make it more difficult for the film to adhere to the window, which can also lead to problems. Weather like wind, cold weather, rain, hail  in our Portland and Gresham area can also cause your appointment to be canceled.

Another thing to check is their Google ratings. Check how others experience was can assure you will have a similar one. You should also make sure that the technician is fully experienced and qualified to do the job.

Here are some of the unknown downsides of mobile window tinting:

* Dirt and debris can get under the film, creating bubbles and other imperfections.

* Cold weather can make it more difficult for the film to adhere to the window.

* No glass to cut and remove the film liner.

* Inclement weather may cause canceled appointments.

* You may not be able to get the same level of quality tint as you would in a shop.

 The Upside

*They come to you to tint your car

*They may offer tints lower cost than a traditional tint shop

When the “Pros” Becomes a Nightmare

The  convenience of having someone come to you to tint your car for less than a brick and mortar tint shop might seem great initially however, there is something important to keep in mind when making that appointment. If you have an issue with the quality of your tint you have no place to go to get it fixed.

I have had many customers that have gone with a mobile tint initially because of cost and convenience. Then after the film completely cured they saw the dirt and debris under it and needed to get it fixed. When they tried to get the mobile tint shop to return to fix it, they didn’t answer.

They finally called me to fix it. I explained to them the only way to fix it is to remove all the tint with the dirt and fuzz under the film and re-tint their car. In the end they paid for the initial mobile tint, then paid to remove the dirty tint and to install the tint properly because the mobile tinter wouldn’t return their calls.

Please keep in mind, my knowledge of mobile tinting is coming from fixing others poorly installed film. There may be some out there that do a good job. That’s why checking out a mobile window tint Google reviews is really important. In fact you should check out the reviews of anyplace you take your car to get it tinted.

Here is our Google reviews page

If you’re considering mobile window tinting, it’s important to weigh the pros and cons carefully. If you’re looking for the best possible results, it’s best to have your windows tinted in a shop.
